New Look and Feel on Annuity Documents
 
Talcott Resolution’s annuity documents, including our Statements of Account and 1099-R forms, will now show our new brand and logo. On May, 31 2018, the sale of Talcott Resolution was completed, and is no longer part of The Hartford. As an independent stand-alone insurance company, we continue to update our documentation and correspondence to show our new Talcott Resolution look and feel.
 
Important Variable Annuity Contract Documents Now Available
 
You can now access your clients’ fourth quarter 2018 variable annuity Statement of Account through Talcott Resolution’s Annuity Service Center.
 
To view Statements online, log into the Annuity Service Center. Enter your user ID and password, or register as a new user if you do not already have access. Once you are logged in, go to “My Clients” and select the contract you would like to review, and then go to the "Online Documents" tab. Or, go to “My Clients” and select the “Print Statements” tab. Here you can save time by viewing or printing all or a portion of your clients’ statements at once.
 
2018 Tax Forms 1099
 
If a reportable event occurred on your client’s annuity account during the 2018 calendar year, including taxable distributions, contract owner changes, and collateral assignments, they will receive an IRS Form 1099-R. The forms will be mailed out by January 31, 2019 and should land in client mailboxes by early February 2019.
 
To view your clients’ 2018 1099-Rs, log into the Annuity Service Center and go to “My Clients” and select the contract number for which you would like to view a form. Then select "Online Documents" and click the “Go” button under “Form 1099-R.” From this point you can print the form for your records.
