Important Variable Annuity Contract Documents Now Available
|
|
Your clients’ fourth quarter 2023 variable annuity Statements of Account are now available online through Talcott’s Annuity Service Center. To view these statements online, log into the Annuity Service Center. Enter your user ID and password or register as a new user if you do not already have access.
|

Once you are logged in, go to “My Clients” and select the contract you would like to review, and then go to the "Online Documents" tab. You can also save time by going to “My Clients” and selecting the “Print Statements” tab. This option allows you to view or print all or a portion of your clients’ statements at once.
|
|
Most variable annuity Statements of Account include current beneficiary information. It is important to keep beneficiaries updated to ensure designations match your clients’ wishes. Most clients have the ability to submit a change of beneficiary request online when they are logged into the Annuity Service Center.

2023 Tax Forms 1099-R
|
|
If a reportable event occurred on your client’s annuity account during the 2023 calendar year, including taxable distributions, contract owner changes, and collateral assignments, they will receive an IRS Form 1099-R. The forms will be mailed out by January 31, 2024, and should arrive in client mailboxes by early February 2024. |

To view your clients’ 2023 1099-Rs, log into the Annuity Service Center, go to “My Clients,” and select the contract number for which you would like to view a form. Then, select "Online Documents" and click the “Go” button under “Form 1099-R.” From this point, you can print the form for your records.

An Update to Talcott Resolution’s eDelivery Method for Clients is Coming Soon
|

Talcott Resolution is always working to provide clients with the very best service. Currently, our eDelivery process provides clients their documents as password protected email attachments. We are working on improving our eDelivery method to provide clients with more convenient and secure access to their important documents.
|
|
eDelivery of documents will be changing from emails containing password-protected email attachments to emails with link(s) informing clients that document(s) are available. Clicking on the link(s) will bring them to our Annuity Service Center (ASC), where they can access their current and past documents, as well as other tools that help make managing their annuities faster and easier.
|
|
Clients must be registered in the ASC to take advantage of this new and improved eDelivery process. They can use this link. to go to the ASC login page, where they can create a new account, manage delivery preferences, and view their important documents.
|
|
As a reminder, you can also enroll for broker alerts by logging into the Annuity Service Center and selecting “My Profile”. |
