Important Variable Annuity Contract Documents Now Available

Your clients’ fourth quarter 2024 variable annuity Statements of Account are now available online through Talcott’s Annuity Service Center. To view these statements online, log into the Annuity Service Center and enter your user ID and password, or register as a new user if you do not already have access.

Once you are logged in, go to “My Clients,” select the contract you would like to review, and then go to the "Online Documents" tab. You can also save time by going to “My Clients” and selecting the “Print Statements” tab. This option allows you to view or print all or a portion of your clients’ statements at once.

Most variable annuity Statements of Account include current beneficiary information. It is important to keep beneficiaries updated to ensure designations match your clients’ wishes. Most clients have the ability to submit a change of beneficiary request online when they are logged into the Annuity Service Center.

2024 Tax Forms 1099-R

If a reportable event occurred on your client’s annuity contract during the 2024 calendar year, including taxable distributions, contract owner changes, or collateral assignments, they will receive an IRS Form 1099-R. The forms will be post marked by Friday, January 31.

To view your clients’ 1099-Rs, log into the Annuity Service Center, go to “My Clients,” and select the contract number for which you would like to view a form. Then, select "Online Documents" and click the “Go” button under “Form 1099-R.” From there, you can print the form for your records.

Forms Online

As a reminder, forms for processing various annuity transactions are available on our Annuity Service Center. We can also email, fax, or mail a form to you. Since forms are updated throughout the year, we recommend obtaining the most current version of our form within 30 days of submitting your request. This will ensure that you are using the most recent version and will eliminate any delays in our processing your request.
